Cooling Stations Opened

The following two locations are open for members of the public who wish to get out of the heat: Council Chambers, Town Hall 124 John Street, Napanee Thursday July 21 and Friday July 22 8:30am to 4:30pm Strathcona Paper Centre 16 McPherson Drive, Napanee Thursday July 21, Friday July 22 and Sunday July 24 9:00am to 9:00pm Saturday July 23 9:00am to 6:00pm. Fresh water is also available at both locations. �The Town is concerned that many residents may not have access to air conditioning with the continuing extreme hot weather conditions�, said Rebecca Murphy, Community Emergency Management Coordinator. �By opening municipal cooling stations, we hope to give residents some relief from the heat.� For further information please contact Rebecca Murphy, Community Emergency Management Coordinator at 613-354-3351.
