KidSport Greater Napanee
SO ALL KIDS CAN PLAY...
Launched in September 2004, KidSport Greater Napanee is a charitable program helping children in our community to play sports. Sport is one of the few activities where children have the potential to experience positive physical, mental, motional and social development all in the same environment. Sport has a powerful influence over children, acting as a prevention tool for many social problems. KidSport focuses on sport so that all children have the opportunity to play.
We are pleased to join forces with Candian Tire JumpStart program in helping kids participate in organized sports. Both charitable programs provide funds to help offset the costs of registration fees, and equipment. KidSport Greater Napanee would love to hear from groups, organizations, coaches, teachers or parents who know someone who is experiencing barriers to participate in sport and recreation. Or if you are aware of children who are in need of some form of financial support please pass along the information. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children and youth in our community.
OUR MISSION:
We help under serviced children and youth in the community access resources to help overcome the economic barriers preventing them from playing organized sport. We are a children's charity which encourages kids to choose physically active sports.
OUR PROGRAM:
Our grant program provides financial assistance to families to help with the costs of registration fees and equipment. Preference is given to children and youth who are expereincing organized sport for the first time, and without our support they wouldn't engage in regular activity. Applicants can apply for assistance seasonlly by completely filling out an application and dropping it off prior to registering for the activity. KidSport grants funds to the organizations. |
