Programs

Greater Napanee offers a variety of Recreational Programs at all of its facilities on a seasonal basis. Please check the links below for current information on our programs.

How to Register

Just fill in the appropriate Registration Form and submit it to the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture.

In Person     Register in person, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at the Strathcona Paper Centre, 16 McPherson Drive, Napanee.

Registration for programs begins upon publication of the Guide to Municipal Services.  The dates of registration will also appear in the Town's column in the weekly newspaper.  Registrations will be accepted and accomodated during this week.  Thereafter, there are no guarantees on program availability.  Your name will be added to a waiting list if classes are full.  We will do our best to accomodate your needs. 

If the program you want is full or cancelled, you will be notified by telephone before the program start date.  Please be sure to record both your home and work phone numbers on your registration form. 

Payment must accompany all registrations.  We accept cash, cheque (made payable to the Town of Greater Napanee), debit, Master Card, VISA and American Express.  Post-dated cheques are accepted up until one week prior to the program commencing.  Receipts are issued on the cheque deposit date.  Family discounts of 60% will be given for the 3rd and additional child registering for the same program.  Receipts for registrations received by fax or email will be mailed.  Registrations may not be transferred from one person to another.  There will be no reduction in registration fees for persons starting a program after the first class or lesson.  A class missed cannot be made up at any time or in any other session.

Refunds

The Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture has the right to cancel programs if sufficient registration is not obtained.  Full refunds will be given if the Department cancels the program.  Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing.  If the Department cancels a class or lesson for any reason, every attempt will be made to have the lesson made up, however, if this is not possible there will be no reduction in the registration fee.  The Department reserves the right to change the time, location, instructor or fee as required.

Requests for refunds must be in writing.  No refunds will be given after the program commences except for certified medical reasons.  Refunds are subject to a $15.00 administration charge.  Refunds can be left in the system for registering for future programs, at the discretion of the Program Coordinator.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a valuable part of our common heritage and an indispensable part of our future.  Student volunteers interested in gaining leadership experience assisting with programs and events please contact the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture.
